The City of Pittsburgh is a world-renowned hub for Jazz music and the birthplace of many internationally renowned jazz artists including George Benson, Art Blakey, Stanley Turrentine, Billy Eckstine, Lena Horne, Earl “Fatha” Hines, Roger Humphries, Joe Negri, Ahmad Jamal and countless more. One of the key events that showcases Pittsburgh's rich jazz heritage and pays tribute to the city's black music legacy is the Pittsburgh Black Music Festival, where the spirit of jazz and its influence can be felt throughout the celebration.

The Pittsburgh Black Music Festival is held at Point State Park and Market Square in Downtown Pittsburgh. 


Step into the festival and get swept up in the infectious rhythms and soulful melodies of the Pittsburgh Black Music Festival. The three-day lineup features an incredible array of talented artists, representing gospel, jazz, R&B, and soul. Watch electrifying performances, stroll through vendor booths showcasing local artists, enjoy a snack from the food vendors, and connect with fellow music enthusiasts.
