Expressions

The new production of the Kyiv Ukrainian Dance Ensemble entitled Expressions, will take place October 24, 2026 with special guest Gerdan Music Ensemble of Washington DC and Confluence Ballet.

We experience life through the range of human emotion. Kyiv Ukrainian Dance Ensemble along with their collaborators will take the audience on a journey of artistic expression and motions.

Gerdan- Kaleidoscope of Ukrainian music was founded by Grammy winning flutist Andrei Pidkivka and renowned violinist Solomia Gorokhivska. Drawing inspiration from centuries-old folk melodies and rhythms, Gerdan

creates original arrangements that seamlessly blend

traditional music with elements of Jazz, Americana, and Contemporary

styles.

Kyiv is also thrilled to be collaborating with Confluence Ballet of Pittsburgh and noted photographer Michael Haritan on a piece commemorating the 40th Anniversary of the Chornobyl Nuclear Disaster.
