Rivers of Steel
There are many ways meeting planners can partner with Rivers of Steel.
Rivers of Steel is home to several unique local attractions, including the Explorer riverboat, the Carrie Blast Furnaces National Historic Landmark, the historic Pump House and the Bost Building National Historic Landmark. Each of these spaces offers opportunities for group visits that highlight the artistry and innovation of this region’s rich industrial and cultural heritage, as well as unique meeting spaces with authentic character.
From outdoor spaces at the Carrie Furnaces that can host thousands to breakout meeting spaces on the 94-foot riverboat, Rivers of Steel’s rentals and charters offer a range of capacity options. Cocktail receptions on Explorer can accommodate 100 people, whereas the Pump House can have 80-100 seated.
Additionally, Rivers of Steel offers receptive travel planning and step-on guides for driving tours. Themed itineraries create endless ways to experience western Pennsylvania—from the popular Babushkas & Hard Hats tour to excursions that explore art, culture, culinary delights, ethnic communities, local legends, heritage attractions, and much more. Rivers of Steel Heritage Tours do more than plot a route—they tell a story.
