Discover ancient people and places at one of Pittsburgh’s hidden treasures. As a result of its long history of field work, the Kelso Museum holds a significant collection of artifacts from the ancient Near East, with particular strengths in the archaeology of Israel, West Bank, and Jordan. Explore a “land between” - a cultural crossroads that reflects the influence of Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, and Rome but demonstrates as well distinctive local patterns of settlement and daily life. Hands-on activities for kids of all ages! Come to browse, or for a full tour or field trip.
