Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh is a place that delights and inspires children, where they can take off on fantastic flights of imagination daily, and return to earth to splash in a river, build & tinker with old and new technologies, and explore contemporary and traditional arts practices. MuseumLab, a new museum for kids ages 10+ - located adjacent to the Children’s Museum - offers cutting-edge experiences in art, technology and making in the Tech Lab, Make Lab and Studio Lab. PLEASE NOTE: Check www.pittsburghkids.org for Children’s Museum and MuseumLab open hours.
Come see how we've grown! The new museum continues to delight and inspire children of all ages (and groups of all sizes), providing four times more space to learn, play and create amidst "Real Stuff" exhibits that include the Studio, Kindness Gallery, Backyard, Garage, Workshop, Nursery, Theater and MAKESHOP.
As part of the Blue Star Museums Program, admission to the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh will be free for all active duty military personnel and their families from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The free admission program is available to any bearer of a Geneva Convention Common Access Card (CAC), a DD Form 1173 ID Card, or a DD Form 1173-1 ID Card, which includes active duty military personnel—and up to five of their immediate family members—in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, National Guard, and Reserve.
