Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh is a place that delights and inspires all ages, where you can take off on fantastic flights of imagination and return to earth to tinker with old and new technologies, wander through a rain shower, create messages of kindness and explore art making alongside working artists. Play and learn with real stuff in exhibits that include the Kindness Gallery, Waterplay, Backyard, Garage, Art Studio, Nursery and MAKESHOP. Grab lunch, a snack or coffee at Bean Sprouts in the museum.
In MuseumLab, our "beautiful ruin" venue with exhibits and programs for youth 10+ located right next door, try cutting-edge experiences in art, technology and making, and explore the most unique climbing sculpture you've ever experienced in what was once one of the first commissioned Carnegie Libraries. Children's Museum is open Monday - Sunday, 10 AM - 5 PM. MuseumLab is open Saturday & Sunday, Noon - 5 pm. Both buildings offer a variety of spaces for weddings, birthdays, parties, corporate events, educator training, retreats, workshops and community meetings.
