Meadowcroft Rockshelter and Historic Village

  • Meadowcroft Rockshelter and Historic Village is the earliest known site of human habitation in North America and can be found right here in Western Pennsylvania. At Meadowcroft, you can explore 20,000 ancient artifacts, millions of plant and animal remains, and much more. 

Covered Bridges Tour 

  • Take a driving tour through the historic covered bridges that can be found throughout Washington County. Explore the unique history of our region of the country through its beautiful countryside. 

Trolley Museum 

  • A unique stop on your tour through Washington County is the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum, which is working to keep the trolley-era alive with its collection of 50 cars. You can even, have the unique experience of operating an antique streetcar yourself!

  • For dinner, try something truly historic, like the Century Inn, the oldest continuously operating inn on the National Road. Find delicious fine dining, and you can even stay the night!
