Program Description
Our BURGH101 program aims to introduce college students and their families to Pittsburgh, while getting discounts at local businesses and organizations around the city. Look for the BURGH101 sticker in the window of partner locations and show your BURGH101 Badge to get discounts and specials.
Objectives
As a result of this program, you will:
Have fun exploring Pittsburgh
Get to know your new city
Try places you wouldn’t otherwise check out
Save money with discounts at partner locations
Enjoy the amazing and unique restaurants, attractions and cultural institutions in Pittsburgh
Easily traverse your new city alone, with friends or with your family
Course Goals
Parents will be able to spend more time in Pittsburgh before and after Move-In Day discovering everything that the city has to offer. Plus, BURGH101 is the perfect excuse to return to check up on your students during the semester as you cross off more of your bucket list.
Students will have an easy way to plan off-campus exploring while saving money with discounts from the BURGH101 Badge. And, as you become a Pittsburgh expert, you'll have plenty of things to suggest to your parents and loved ones when they visit for the weekend.
