4. Grab a Brew at Allegheny City Brewing
Deutschtown has gotten into the craft beer craze as well. Allegheny City Brewing was opened in 2016 by a trio who returned to Pittsburgh following several years in Colorado. Their tap room is a tribute to the city of Allegheny, which was the name of Pittsburgh's North Side before it was annexed in 1907, and the revolving list of beers includes Nova Gose, Graham Cracker Porter and Grapefruit Imperial IPA.
5. Dance the Day Away at Northside Music Festival
Held every summer, Northside Music Festival features dozens of bands performing across indoor and outdoor venues during this signature three-day event. The free festival also includes art vendors and more than 20 food trucks. This non-profit, all-volunteer music festival is one of Pittsburgh’s signature summer events and a great way to support and promote local bands and bring the Northside community together.
