Pittsburgh Skyline to Glow in Honor of NCAA Division I Men’s Frozen Four Day
Several Downtown Buildings Will Light Up Blue and White Tonight
PITTSBURGH – The Pittsburgh Local Organizing Committee (PGH LOC), in partnership with BOMA Pittsburgh, is happy to share that several Downtown buildings will light up in blue and white tonight to commemorate NCAA Division I Men’s Frozen Four Day, as proclaimed by both County Executive Rich Fitzgerald and Mayor William Peduto.
“The committee’s focus throughout the entire Frozen Four planning process has been ensuring that the student-athletes and teams not only feel welcomed in Pittsburgh but also return home with iconic experiences,” SportsPITTSBURGH Executive Director Jennifer Hawkins said. “The show of support from these Downtown buildings is tremendous, and we thank them for continuing to demonstrate why Pittsburgh is the definitive destination for sports events.”
The NCAA Men’s Frozen Four, co-hosted by SportsPITTSBURGH and Robert Morris University, opens tonight at PPG Paints Arena with a pair of National Semifinal games. Minnesota State and St. Cloud State University face off at 5 p.m., with the University of Massachusetts and University of Minnesota Duluth following at 9 p.m. Both games can be seen on ESPN2.
The National Championship is set for April 10 at 7 p.m., on ESPN.
