PITTSBURGH – The executive team at VisitPITTSBURGH are proud to announce that Mike Robertson, destination services’ senior services manager, and Kylie McCracken, marketing manager, have been named to Destinations International’s (DI) 30 under 30 and Pittsburgh’s 50 Finest, respectively.
Mike Robertson along with 30 other individuals, 30 years of age and under, will have the opportunity to engage in professional development and mentorship opportunities throughout 2019 and beyond. DI is one of the leading destination marketing organizations, and this program supports the future of the travel and tourism industry, which remains dependent on today’s young professionals.
Robertson has been employed by VisitPITTSBURGH since July 2013. He will receive hotel accommodations to attend the Destination International Annual Conference in St. Louis, Missouri this July and will be recognized on stage for his achievement within the organization.
“Mike is so deserving of this honor. In the nearly six years that he has been with VisitPITTSBURGH’s Destination Services department, he has shown that he is an emerging leader in our industry,” said Brenda Hill, vice president, destination services.
Also, Kylie McCracken was chosen for Pittsburgh’s 50 Finest 2019. She is being recognized for her achievements with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation through her committed work and expert knowledge. McCracken has already raised over $1,000 towards Cystic Fibrosis research, medical and educational programs.
“I was not surprised at all that Kylie was selected as one of the 50 Finest. She has been a rising star at VisitPITTSBURGH since she arrived here three years ago,” said Tom Loftus, chief marketing officer. “There is no challenge that she won’t embrace, and she always turns in outstanding results. Her enthusiasm is unmatched. I have no doubt she will far exceed the high expectations set for her.”
VisitPITTSBURGH is pleased to have two young professionals who represent the organization and continue to make Pittsburgh a premier travel destination through their hard work and dedication.
