VisitPITTSBURGH announced the election of Michele Meloy Burchfield and Meredith Meyer-Grelli to its 2020 Board of Directors officer positions.
Meloy Burchfield ascends into the treasurer position, while Meyer-Grelli was named secretary.
“Michele and Meredith are proven leaders,” VisitPITTSBURGH Chairman Timothy Q. Hudak, Esq., said. “Michele previously served in the secretary role and extensively understands the workings of VisitPITTSBURGH. Meredith joined the board just this year and is a great addition to our leadership team.”

Michele Meloy Burchfield has more than 28 years of marketing/sales/sales management experience in the beverage industry. As Co-Founder and CEO of Blume Honey Water, Meloy Burchfield has led a team to create organic certified honey waters, build brand awareness and establish a distribution network that supports the sales of Blume in retailers such as Giant Eagle, Whole Foods Market and The Fresh Market throughout much of the eastern half of the United States. Meloy Burchfield previously spent nearly 15 years at the Boston Beer Company, where she was part of the team that built the Sam Adams brand working as a brewery representative, regional sales manager, division manager and director of national accounts. She also is the Founder & CEO of The MBM Group, an independently created beverage-industry focused consulting company.
Meredith Meyer-Grelli is Co-Founder/Co-Owner of Wigle Whiskey and Threadbare Cider & Mead. The distillery has been the most-awarded craft whiskey distillery in the United States by the American Craft Spirits Association for four consecutive years. Prior to starting Wigle Whiskey and Threadbare Cider & Mead, Meyer-Grelli worked in brand management at the H.J. Heinz Company. She is a two-time James Beard Award Semi-Finalist and was recognized as a 2018 Imbibe 75 Beverage Professionals to Watch. The author of The Whiskey Rebellion & The Rebirth of Rye, Meyer-Grelli also is the founder of the Whiskey Rebellion Trail. She received her MBA from Carnegie Mellon University, earned her B.S. in geography at the University of Chicago and studied cooking at Le Cordon Bleu Paris. Meyer-Grelli teaches entrepreneurship at Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business.
