PITTSBURGH – VisitPITTSBURGH elected four new board members this morning at its year-end partnership meeting.
The new VisitPITTSBURGH board members are:

Hudak, Esq., said. “This is a talented group, each uniquely qualified to help enhance VisitPITTSBURGH’s efforts as the organization enacts its rebound plans in the coming months.”
Shannon Baker was appointed to the role of President at Gatesman Marketing Agency in 2017, where she leads clients across the country by developing strong relationships, building and mentoring talent and assembling high-performance and diverse marketing agency teams to deliver the absolute best solutions for the client’s toughest challenges – faster, more effectively and more efficiently. Baker joined Gatesman in 2008 and formerly held the position of EVP, Director of Public Relations and Social Media. She has earned numerous individual recognitions, including a "Top Women in Business" nod from the American Business Journals and a recent recognition as one of the region’s leading executives in both the public and private sectors at the Fox Rothschild Outstanding CEOs and Top Executive awards. Baker also serves on the Executive Board of Directors for the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership and on the Academic Advisory Board for Slippery Rock University’s School of Business and Marketing.
Betty Cruz assumed the role of President and CEO of the World Affairs Council of Pittsburgh in January of 2020. Before joining the Council, Cruz served as the leader of Change Agency, a social enterprise which she founded in 2016, and Project Director for All for All, an immigrant inclusion initiative. She has extensive experience in community outreach, communications, partnership-building and program management – spanning nearly 20 years. Cruz has developed citywide initiatives for Pittsburgh Mayor William Peduto, managed major accounts for a national nonprofit dedicated to building playgrounds across the U.S. and supported public relations for global brands representing a wide range of industries. She has recently received several accolades, including: 25 Essential Pittsburghers by NEXTpittsburgh in 2019, Pittsburgh Magazine 40 Under 40 and Global Pittsburgh Immigrant Champion. Cruz also serves on several local boards, including Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh and City Theatre.
Cammie Dunaway was named Chief Marketing Officer at Duolingo in 2018. Her experience and passion span digital, consumer products, entertainment, technology and retail industries across a unique combination of classic CPG, global corporate and start-up organizations. Dunaway loves creating and launching iconic brands and developing unique customer experiences through actionable insights, innovation and leveraging new technology. Most importantly, she is known for recruiting great talent and delivering results through inspiring and developing people. Dunaway previously served as the U.S. President and Global Chief Marketing Officer of KidZania (2010-14) and also served as Executive Vice President for Nintendo (2007-10). She also held leadership positions in major global companies such as Frito-Lay and Yahoo!. Dunaway is a member of the Board of Directors for Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, Inc., and Planet Fitness.
Marty LaMar is the City of Pittsburgh’s Chief Economic Development Officer. In this role, he has strategic oversight of two of the city’s authorities (Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh and Urban Redevelopment Authority), as well as the city’s Planning and Permits, Licensing and Inspections departments. With more than 20 years of broad-based experience in real estate (operations, development, financing and acquisition) and extensive workforce and public housing programs, LeMar’s professional responsibilities provide full-management responsibility and oversight of the financial, operational, marketing and budgetary aspects. Prior to his current role with the City of Pittsburgh, he served as Regional Vice President of McCormack Baron Salazar, President and CEO of Lucas Metropolitan Housing Authority, Senior Vice President of the Philadelphia Housing Authority and multiple director-level positions within the Atlanta Housing Authority. LeMar holds board positions with Carlow University, Pittsburgh Opera and Urban League of Pittsburgh and is a supporter of The Pittsburgh Promise.
