Carnegie Museum of Art creates experiences that connect people to art, ideas, and one another. The museum is arguably the first museum of contemporary art in the United States, one of the most dynamic major art institutions in America, and a cultural leader in the Pittsburgh region. Its collection houses more than 34,000 works that emphasize art, architecture, photography, and design from the 19th century to the present.
