Pittsburgh Breweries Support Black is Beautiful

Pittsburgh's breweries come together to support racial injustices by brewing a special beer.

Did you know Pittsburgh is home to over 30 craft breweries? From microbreweries and brewpubs to taproom breweries and regional breweries, Pittsburgh truly has a beer for everyone, and we just got even more inclusive.

Local breweries have joined the Black is Beautiful initiative – a collaborative effort amongst the brewing community and its customers to bring awareness to the injustices that many people of color face daily. Black is Beautiful was created by the Founder & Head Brewer at Weathered Souls Brewing who made a base stout recipe and decided to call on his peers in the brewing industry to collaborate and put their own creative spin on the beer. Each brewery will put the same label on their Black is Beautiful stout and donate the proceeds to local organizations of their choice that support equality and inclusion.

There are currently more than 1,000 breweries participating worldwide with 37 in Pennsylvania and eight in Pittsburgh, with more joining every day!
