Cooking and Beverage Classes in the Strip District

Cooking and Beverage Classes in the Strip District

Looking for something interesting to do with dad this Father's Day? Venture to the Strip District for a cooking or beverage class!

If you’re trying to brush up on some cooking skills, learn the basics in the kitchen, or pair the best wines for dinner, Pittsburgh is full of food and beverage educational courses to try. A few of these courses are located right in Pittsburgh’s local Strip District. We’ve highlighted a few of our favorite Strip District cooking and beverage classes below.

Wholey's

A little not so known secret in Pittsburgh’s Strip District is Whole’s FREE cooking classes Saturday mornings at 10 AM. If you’ve been too afraid to try your hand in seafood cooking, this is the class for you. We all know Wholey’s as the place to go when you want a fresh catch for dinner, but you can also learn how to make delicious seafood dishes straight from the experts for free! Check out the schedule for these classes and be sure to arrive early for a front row seat. In the class, you’ll enjoy a cooking demonstration of a seafood dish, samples, and get an inside scoop on Wholey’s Saturday morning specials to take advantage of.

The Enrico Biscotti Co.

You’re pulled into Enrico Biscotti because of the delicious biscotti but did you know you can sign up for cooking classes, too? Reserve your spot in one of their classes and learn how to make Italian basics like bread and pizza in a brick oven. You can also sign up for a family-styled class complete with a five-course dinner, lessons from the chef, and dessert. The family-style dinner option is also BYOB so make sure to bring your favorite bottle of wine. We recommend stopping by the PA Market to grab a bottle in the Strip

The PA Market

Speaking of the PA Market, did you know they have classes there too? These courses range from homemade mozzarella pulling classes, vinegar/oil tastings, and wine & cheese pairings. Their extensive wine collection houses wines from all around the world that you won’t find in your neighborhood wine and spirits store. The best way to try new wines is by signing up for a tasting or pairing class with a PA Market expert. New and fun classes pop up all the time and change seasonally. They also host non-cooking classes like floral arrangement courses and yoga!
