Now in its fourth year, Oakland Forever is the neighborhood’s premier two-day community festival held in the heart of the Central Business District. Oakland Forever will take place on Friday, September 30 and Saturday, October 1, 2016. The festival was created to celebrate Oakland’s many one-of-a-kind features: the arts and culture, the eds and meds, the parks, the restaurants and the shops. In 2016, we are also celebrating the 200th anniversary of Pittsburgh’s incorporation as a city. Participation in the festival is free and open to the public.
Saturday, October 1, 2016 – Movie Night For Movie Night, we invite the public to come out to the Schenley Plaza lawn, roll out a blanket, grab some popcorn, and watch two classics. 7 p.m. Inspector Gadget 9 p.m. Miracle *movies are subject to change Also on Saturday at Schenley Plaza, City of Play will be hosting their Come Out & Play festival from 2 p.m. – 10 p.m. Come Out & Play is a free, all-day event of brand new sports, street and social games that turn the city into an urban playground.
