Fireworks over Pittsburgh - Photo Credit: Dave DiCello

Pittsburgh is ready to celebrateAmerica's birthday on July 4th with lots of fun things to do, including fireworks of course. Pittsburgh loves fireworks! So wear your red, white and blue and head Downtown to enjoy a festive day of free concerts, patriotic ceremonies, re-enactments, children's activities, food vendors and more!

Schedule of Events

Flag Raising/National Anthem

The Fort Pitt Museum is a two-floor museum located in historic Point State Park that tells the story of Western Pennsylvania's pivotal role during the French & Indian War, the American Revolution, and as the birthplace of Pittsburgh. Regular admission fees apply. Other events at the museum include 18th-Century re-enactors, rifle and musket demonstrations, fife and drum performances and children's activities.

Free Entertainment

Point State Park is the place to be to celebrate the 4th. Hang out by the fountain; spread a blanket on the grass enjoy live music; grab a bite to eat from one of the many food vendors or watch the kids get their face painted. Then pick a spot to enjoy the dazzling fireworks display after dark.
