CBX: The Premiere Craft Beverage Industry Festival

VisitPITTSBURGH and the Craft Beverage Expo and Distribution Conference welcome CBX – the inaugural festival of events celebrating all things craft beverage, March 29-April 2, 2023. Highlighting every element of the craft beverage industry, including beer, wine, spirits, cider, sake, mead and more, CBX will be a county-wide celebration encompassing three distinctive components of the craft beverage ecosystem: Craft Beverage Excellence, Craft Beverage Experience and Craft Beverage Expo.

For the inaugural celebration, VisitPITTSBURGH will bring 5,000 out-of-markets visitors to the region and host locals. As an annual event hosted here in Pittsburgh, the goal is to build and grow CBX over the next three to five years to the largest event celebrating all of craft beverage in the U.S.  

Craft Beverage Excellence

Craft Beverage Excellence enables Allegheny County businesses to participate in CBX by hosting specials and events. To participate, all you need to do is to host an event at your business during March 27-April 2. Whether you want to feature a band, promote a special tasting menu, showcase what makes your establishment unique, it’s easy to attract some of the thousands who will flock to Pittsburgh for this event.

Submit your programming details here to be included on the VisitPITTSBURGH CBX landing page. VisitPITTSBURGH will invest in marketing programs to drive local and out-of-market visitors to participating business throughout the week of CBX.

Craft Beverage Experience

March 31, 2023 | David L. Lawrence Convention Center
CBX Experience is a consumer tasting event that will invite small batch vendors from Allegheny County and beyond to showcase their products to craft beverage enthusiasts. The 2023 inaugural event will take place March 31 and will include 100 vendors offering limited tastings to 400-450 consumers. To further differentiate Craft Beverage Experience from other tasting events, educational components will be incorporated throughout the event as we will feature several “Tipsy Talks” through-out the event to both educate and entertain our attending consumers. Again, VisitPITTSBURGH will implement marketing plans to attract local and out-of-market visitors to the event.

Craft Beverage Expo and Distribution Conference and Women in Craft Forum

CBX Expo is the leading trade exposition and conference for the entire craft beverage industry.
