The first thing to do in Pittsburgh is take in a game! No matter when you’re visiting, there is bound to be a professional sports team in season. Pittsburgh is the City of Champions, after all! The Pittsburgh Steelers have won 6 Superbowls, and with 5 Stanley Cup Championships under their belts, the Pittsburgh Penguins have dominated the ice, especially the last few seasons.

Use sports as a gateway to learn about physics, anatomy, biology at Carnegie Science Center's Highmark SportsWorks and inspire learning and curiosity while enjoying 30 interactive sports experiences.
Put on your plaid shirt and experience what it’s like to hurl axes through the air at Lumberjaxes, Pittsburgh’s first competitive axe-throwing venue. You’ll let out some aggression and have a ton of fun in the process.
For a truly immersive experience, take a tour of our stadiums! The Heinz Field tours offer fans the chance to experience the rich history and tradition of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pitt Panthers while visiting the locker rooms, premium areas, press box, field level, and more.
