Drury Plaza Hotel Pittsburgh Downtown
Opened February 2017, the Drury Plaza Hotel is located in the historic Federal Reserve Bank building, Downtown Pittsburgh. The hotel has 207-rooms and more than 4,500-square-feet of event and meeting space. This property marks Drury's entrance into the Pittsburgh market.
Hotel Indigo Pittsburgh Downtown
The 111-room Hotel Indigo at Pittsburgh Technology Center will be a new addition to the booming Pittsburgh Technology Center, along Second Avenue. A May 2017 opening date is set.
A former New York Times style editor is planning to convert the historic Granite Building Downtown at Sixth Avenue and Wood Street into a 104-room boutique hotel with three bars and a brasserie-style restaurant. With the help of a $2.5 million state redevelopment assistance capital grant, the Pittsburgh native plans to open June 2017.
Home2Suites Pittsburgh SouthSide
A 126-room Home2Suites is planned along East Carson Street in Pittsburgh’s South Side neighborhood, with an opening of August 2017.
The former Salvation Army headquarters in Downtown Pittsburgh will be converted into a Distrikt Hotel. This new boutique property is expected to be 186-rooms with a clean and contemporary look designed as a tribute to Pittsburgh and its neighborhoods. Set to open September 2017, amenities will include a living plant wall, zen rooftop garden and full-service restaurant.
Marriott Residence Inn Pittsburgh Downtown
A 144-suite Residence Inn is planned near the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University campuses in Oakland. The hotel will featuresa two-story Great Room at street level, courtyard, reception area, fitness room and a swimming pool on the lower levels. An April 2017 opening date is set.
Holiday Inn Pittsburgh Downtown
A Holiday Inn is planned along Fort Pitt Boulevard in Downtown Pittsburgh. This 100-room hotel is set to open November 2017.
TRYP Hotel Pittsburgh-Lawrenceville
The former Washington Education Center on 40th Street in the Lawrenceville neighborhood is being converted into a new TRYP by Wyndham Hotel, an urban-oriented boutique property. The 107-room hotel will be one of only four locations in the United States. A November 2017 completion date is set.
Concord Hospitality will debut Pittsburgh’s first AC Hotel in January 2018. The 133-room boutique “design hotel” will be upscale and urban-inspired, located next to the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, along Smallman Street in the Strip District.
Even Hotel Pittsburgh
Core Realty, Inc. has plans to redevelop the fifth and sixth floors of the former Macy’s building in downtown Pittsburgh into a 155-room hotel. Even Hotel, a new brand in the city, has an anticipated opening date of January 2018.
Hampton Inn & Suites Pittsburgh West Carson Street
A 150-room hotel is planned along West Carson Street, leading into the South Side neighborhood. A February 2018 completion date is set.
The Andrew Hotel
An independent, five-star hotel is being planned along the Allegheny River in the Strip District neighborhood. The 120-room hotel will feature fine and casual dining and a rooftop lounge and spa. The anticipated opening date is set for March 2018.
Rivers Casino Hotel
A $35-million property is being planned by Rivers Casino. The seven-story, 214-room hotel will be built along the North Shore, next to the Carnegie Science Center. A summer 2018 opening date is planned.
Comfort Inn & Suites Pittsburgh
A 100-room Comfort Inn is being planned for the North Side neighborhood, along East Ohio Street. Anticipated opening date is October 2018.
Hotel Oakland Marriott
Concord Hospitality plans to build one of Marriott's "autograph collection" hotels on the property of the Pittsburgh Athletic Association, located at the University of Pittsburgh. The autograph brand is a collection of unique, luxury hotels and the Oakland location would be the first in Pennsylvania. A late 2017-early 2019 opening date is planned.
