Pittsburgh International Jazz Festival

You don’t have to be a seasoned Jazz musician to love one of Pittsburgh’s coolest and funkiest summer festivals.

June 20-23, the Pittsburgh International Jazz Festival presented by Citizens Bank will transform Downtown Pittsburgh into a huge jazz club complete with jam sessions, delicious food and drink, and concerts that will keep you vibing all weekend long. You won't want to miss this.

Taste of Jazz Party

The festival kicks off with a party at the August Wilson African American Cultural Center. At the Taste of Jazz Party, you can try delicious samplings from some of Pittsburgh's world class restaurants while you explore the center, enjoying performances by local and international talent.

Featured Artists

Headlining this year's festival is the incomparable Patti Labelle. Don't miss her performance at the August Wilson African American Cultural Center Friday June 21 at 8:00pm. Other featured artist performances include Makaya McCraven, Black Women Rock, Tamara Tunie, and Paul Jost Quartet.

What's Free

As always, the kick-off event will be the free Jazz Crawl throughout Downtown Pittsburgh which will feature regional jazz artists from 5:30pm – 7:00pm. Don't miss FREE performances by artists like Butcher BrownRoger Humphries Art Blakey TributeKeyon Harrold, and many more on different stages throughout the Cultural District, as well as morning and afternoon artist talks on Saturday and Sunday. Kids will love Jazz Time!, a free performance just for children on Saturday June 22 at 12:00pm.

Festival Highlights

A program of the African American Cultural Center, this year’s 9th annual festival will take place on Liberty Avenue. 

The two days of the Pittsburgh International Jazz Festival are jam-packed with music, food, and good fun. Between free and ticketed events at the August Wilson Center and beyond, the festival will feature master classes, artist talks, as well as concerts from over 140 local and international artists.
