The W Bowl experience is an event that will amaze even the novice football fan. The W Bowl National Championship weekend kicks off on Thursday evening with a welcome event hosted by WISE (National Organization of Women in Sports & Events) and a presentation to honor the Woman of the Year. Women's Football Alliance (WFA) teams and athletes from all over the country come together for a weekend of Championship football. The top two teams in the country will compete in the W Bowl National Championship, which is the highest achievement in women's professional, tackle football. The W Bowl National Championship weekend also includes Division II and Division III championship games and the always entertaining All-Star game. Following the football filled weekend, teams unite on Saturday evening for a celebratory event that concludes the W Bowl experience.
The Women's Football Alliance (WFA) was designed to create the largest and most competitive women's tackle football league in the world. Women's tackle football teams and leagues have been in existence for over four decades, but the most promising growth in the sport has taken place over the last five years. Currently, there are 45 teams in the WFA, and because of growing interest and increased level of competition, new teams continue to blossom in cities all across the nation.
