PITTSBURGH. Authentic. Iconic. Game-Changing.
Pittsburgh continues to solidify its reputation as an iconic sports town and one of the best places to host a tournament. Home to 16 world championships among its pro teams, including the Penguins' latest Stanley Cup victory, Pittsburgh continues to solidify its reputation as an iconic sports town and one of the best places to be a sports fan. #BurghProud is used among the teams' professional and collegiate athletes, city officials and fans to unite the city and show support to each other.
But that support isn't just limited to fellow Pittsburghers. The residents of the city's 90 diverse neighborhoods rally to support sports events through volunteering, sponsoring or hosting games at local venues. These neighborhoods also provide event planners with a variety of activities for participants and spectators. Many neighborhoods have been transformed as trendy restaurants, stores, museums and new businesses have moved in. Major corporations such as Google and Uber have opened offices in the Steel City. Pittsburgh is now a city known for technology, medicine, tourism, energy — and, of course, sports.
Congratulations to Pittsburgh's very own Connect Sports Game-Changers: Dan DelBianco, Patrice Matamoros and Dan Gilman.
