Resonance Works presents "Requiem for Water"
Resonance Works presents Requiem for Water, a choral and orchestral program that highlights two remarkable works by living American composers: the Pittsburgh premiere of Reena Esmail’s Malhaar: A Requiem for Water, a “hopeful requiem” that blends Eastern and Western traditions into a moving choral journey, and the return of Nancy Galbraith’s transcendent Flute Concerto, commissioned by Resonance Works for virtuoso flutist Lindsey Goodman. The concert will also feature Aaron Copland's evocative orchestral work, Quiet City.
