Welcome to Pittsburgh! What do you want to do first? Not sure yet? Well what about plans for tomorrow? …Well you still have time to decide… Where are you staying? You haven't booked a hotel yet?!?!
This August 3rd, 4th and 5th, celebrate the 41st annual EQT Three Rivers Regatta in Pittsburgh! The free three-day event features an array of entertainment, boating, music, fireworks and family-fun.
The Regatta includes exciting river activities ranging from Formula One Powerboat racing to the USA Jet-Ski Freestyle Championships. Think you have what it takes to build a boat that floats? Enter the Anything That Floats Race and set sail on Pittsburgh’s Three Rivers. This year will also feature F-Lights Powerboat Racing, a smaller version of Formula One boats, and the Pittsburgh Paddlesports Championships.
Point State Park is the hub for additional entertainment and family-fun. Check out the Sandsational Sand Sculpting, shop at the Regatta Marketplace, have fun at the Kids Zone and travel to the Beach Kids Korner. Get your adrenaline pumping by watching the Red Bull Air Force Skydive team, one of the most elite teams in the world, take landing in various locations. And, you won’t want to miss the magnificent “Regatta Thunder” fireworks display on Saturday night.
Did we mention there’s FREE music? This year’s headliner is the popular 90s band, Sugar Ray. Join lead singer Mark McGrath on Saturday, August 4 and rock the stage at Point State Park. But, the music doesn’t end there! On Sunday, August 5, catch another free concert from award-winning country music star Randy Houser.
This August, come to Point State Park and help honor Pittsburgh's renowned history, vibrant present and exciting future. With music, boating, food, fireworks and family fun, the EQT Pittsburgh Three Rivers Regatta is where the Pittsburgh community comes to celebrate the city we call home and the waterfront we love and depend on.
As the locals say, “You Gotta Regatta” at this free three-day event, August 3-5.
