Sure, moving back home in March was not what I had planned, and I can definitely say the same for my parents. But, with all this extra time here, I realized my love for Pittsburgh and all the fun memories that make this place home. I can’t wait to visit with my favorite spots and explore some new ones!

Top Restaurants
One of my all-time favorite restaurants is Noodlehead in Shadyside. Some of my fondest memories were made at this hotspot, enjoying the signature Street Noodle #1 entree at spice level 2 with my closest friends. And those nights would only end after we indulged in a scoop of decadent ice cream at Millie’s Homemade.
For a luxurious dining experience, my family almost always chooses Altius. Not only are the views from this Mt. Washington restaurant incredible, but the cuisine is, too! The seasonal menu always has creative, familiar, and innovate dishes to try, not to mention the most Instagrammable dessert: the Turtle Ball! A truly elevated experience I can’t wait to enjoy again.
Waffalonia
If you can’t tell by now, I have a massive sweet tooth, and spent most of my high school days exploring dessert spots in the city with my friends. For an instant sugar rush, I love Waffalonia. The Belgian sugar waffle and rich topping options like Speculoos ice cream and Nutella spread…need I say more? The whole experience is divine, and a must-try in the heart of Squirrel Hill.
Kimpton Hotel Monaco
The Kimpton Hotel Monaco would definitely be at the top of my list of places to stay. The rooftop Beirgarten, comfortable rooms, and aesthetically pleasing spaces all create a perfect experience. Additionally, its Downtown location has easy access to my favorite areas.

Lawrenceville Dining
One of these has to be Lawrenceville. Delicious food, galore! Apart from indulging in rolled ice cream from Naturoll, my friends and I love to sip on margs and build our own tacos at Condado Tacos. One place I would love to try is Poulet Bleu, an upscale French dining experience. I have heard so many great things about its unique menu!
Walnut Street in Shadyside
Another favorite area of mine is Walnut Street in Shadyside. The perfect warm weather shopping experience, it has stores like Lululemon and Banana Republic, and boutiques like Ten Toes and E.B. Pepper. Not to mention Salud Juicery, which is home to the most refreshing açaí bowls I have ever had.
Wow, there are so many things that I can’t wait to do. I’m eagerly looking forward to exploring and rediscovering the city with my friends. As a born and raised Pittsburgher, I will always be proud to call this place my home!
