More than 4th of July Fireworks

There's plenty of excitement in Pittsburgh in July beyond the Independence Day celebration.

July in Pittsburgh is about more than just a series of spectacular regional fireworks shows. Starting July 3rd, our city will be busy with many great activities from the Three River's Regatta to BMX races in South Park to the Dream On Festival and PicklesBURGH in downtown. Along with those events the streets of Pittsburgh will be filled with the sweet harmonies of the Barbershop Harmony Society's International Convention from June 28 through July 5.

Ice Cream + Music = FUN at the Dream On Festival

Anthrocon and the
Veterans of Foreign Wars

There are two other sizable conventions coming to town this month that you should be on the look out for. July 9-12 Pittsburgh welcomes Anthrocon back to the golden triangle. That's right, it's Furry time again! And this year the Furry Parade will be a public event held at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center at 2:00 p.m. on July 11th. Don't miss the Furries on parade!

On July 18-22 Pittsburgh fills up with nearly 10,000 conventioneers for the 116th Annual VFW National Convention. As you're walking around the city, take a moment and thank a veteran for their service and sacrifice.
