County Executive Rich Fitzgerald and Mayor William Peduto have officially proclaimed Aug. 24 Hospitality Workforce Celebration Day in Allegheny County and the City of Pittsburgh!
Pittsburgh is often recognized as a welcoming, friendly destination, thanks in large part to the exceptional service delivered by the region’s hospitality workers. They deliver exceptional service with smiles on their faces.
Organized by VisitPITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania Restaurant & Lodging Association (PRLA) Western Chapter, Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership, Greater Pittsburgh Hotel Association and Partner4Work, this day will honor and celebrate the important work the local hospitality workforce does for the Pittsburgh community while also bringing attention to the expansive job opportunities and career growth available in Allegheny County’s hospitality industry.
To thank the fantastic folks who comprise the Pittsburgh hospitality workforce, County Executive Fitzgerald, Mayor Peduto and a number of industry representatives will join hospitality staff at a celebratory event at Allegheny Overlook Park on Tuesday, Aug. 24.
