Other Resources

There are hundreds of additional resources for those interested in education in the Pittsburgh region. Here are just a few: A+ Schools is a community advocate for improvement in public education. Its purpose is to be a community force in advancing the highest educational achievement and character development for every public school student. A+ Schools' website offers a number of resources, including local, state and federal organizations and information on school reform, parent resources and family support.

The Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh offers extensive listings of education providers. You can review this information by subject (art, business, etc.) or by grade level.

For information about private tutoring and supplemental instruction, go to VisitPittsburgh's Relocation Directory. Or, for a listing of after school and literacy programs, go to the United Way of Allegheny County.

For parents seeking enrichment classes for their children, Pittsburgh offers many! Whether you're interested in gym, art, music or dance—check out Pittsburgh Magazine's City Guide for more information.
