Arrive in Downtown Pittsburgh. Check into the Courtyard by Marriot Downtown.

1:45pm

Meet VisitPittsburgh staff member in hotel lobby.

2:00pm

Meet staff member from Venture Outdoors at the Venture Outdoors Festival on the North Shore for welcome and brief introduction. Tour festival.

5:00pm

Return to hotel.

6:45pm

Meet VisitPittsburgh staff member in hotel lobby.

7:05pm

Watch the Pittsburgh Pirates baseball game from VisitPittsburgh's luxury suite at PNC Park, named the best ballpark in the country by ESPN.com. Dinner provided.

Return to hotel.

Sunday:

Breakfast on your own.

9:45am

Meet VisitPittsburgh staff member in hotel lobby.

10:00am

Pick up bicycles from VisitPittsburgh staff member. On your own, bike through town or on a riverfront trail. Maps provided.

Please return to the bike rental no later than 11:30am

12:00pm

Boxed lunch picnic at Point State Park. Members of the Green Building Alliance and the PA Environmental Council will talk about Pittsburgh's "Green Story" and about riverfront activities.

1:30pm

Fishing in the river from Point State Park. Gear provided by Venture Outdoors.

3:30pm

Return to hotel.

4:45pm

Meet VisitPittsburgh staff member in hotel lobby.

5:00pm

Dinner at Church Brew Works, an 1878 church converted in the 1990s to a microbrewery, located in one of Pittsburgh’s most interesting neighborhoods, Lawrenceville.

5:00pm

Meet staff of Venture Outdoors at North Shore launch site for kayak tour on the Three Rivers.

Launch site is under the Sixth Street bridge, near PNC Park.

Monday:

Depart Pittsburgh.
