Join our animals at the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium for year round fun! Zoo babies and youngsters, like our adorable sea lion pup and playful young elephants, will warm your heart on a cool day.

If there is a chill in the air, the PPG Aquarium is a great place to warm up. Several types of exotic pufferfish recently moved here and can now call the PPG Aquarium their home. Another new Zoo family member, cuttlefish, will dazzle you with their ability to change color with more vibrancy and accuracy than any other animal on earth.

Our penguin parades are a must see for all ages. Every Saturday and Sunday from December through March, our king, gentoo, and macaroni penguins enjoy an outdoor waddle down the hill outside of the PPG Aquarium and back up again, weather permitting. You won’t want to miss this unique opportunity to watch these adorable birds excitedly strut their stuff and enjoy the winter weather. Of course, you can see our penguins every day of the week in their habitat in the PPG Aquarium.
