Pittsburgh International Airport is a growing world-class facility that serves more than 8 million passengers annually and offers flights to more than 50 nonstop destinations on a dozen carriers. The airport has won numerous awards including Airport with the Best Customer Service, named by Airport Revenue News. Development across thousands of acres of airport land has dramatically increased, helping to fuel jobs throughout the region. The airport was among the first in the country to welcome ride-share operators Uber and Lyft and has an on-site hotel. The airport is operated by the Allegheny County Airport Authority, which also operates Allegheny County Airport, Pittsburgh's executive gateway, in West Mifflin.
