Hailed as the best facility for installation art in the United States, the Mattress Factory is a contemporary art museum and experimental lab that features site-specific installations created by artists in residence from around the world. Located in the historic Mexican War Streets of Pittsburgh's North Side since 1977 and comprised of galleries located in three creatively reused buildings, the Mattress Factory is one of few museums of its kind anywhere.
