Just minutes away from Pittsburgh! Come and enjoy the beauty of Beaver County’s many parks. Visit Old Economy Village, this National Historic Landmark in Ambridge has time period dressed docents take you on a tour of the original buildings and beautiful gardens. Experience some unique events like the Maple Syrup Festival in April, History Celebration Weekend in May and Ft. McIntosh Garrison Day Craft Sale in June, just to name a few! Be sure to visit Merrick Art Gallery in New Brighton, home to a stunning collection of 18th and 19th century European and American paintings. Built in 1802, Greersburg Academy in Darlington is the oldest public building in Beaver County, the oldest advanced educational institution North of the Ohio River plus the oldest standing building used as a train depot. William McGuffey and John Brown were educated here. Train and then race like a motorsport champion at PittRace in Wampum, where passion meets performance.
