Shadow Lounge will be the scene for an exciting and unique local music event called CROSSPOLYNATION: Pittsburgh Mash-Up Music Festival. The event will pair some of Pittsburgh’s best live bands with some of the hottest MC’s and DJ’s in town. Each pairing of artists will be collaborating on three song sets, “mashing up” each other’s music. Inspired by the Beautiful Noise events formerly hosted at Brillobox which combined bands with spoken word artists for improvisational sets, David Neuhart, the drummer from the band Dream Job has organized CROSSPOLYNATION with the initiative to combine scenes and styles, and to encourage collaboration and solidarity across the landscape of the Pittsburgh music scene. The lineup consists of: Lovebettie feat. Commonwealth Family Triggers feat. Keeb$ Dream Job feat. Tracksploitation School Of Athens feat. DJ Scott Courtney Mega Def feat. Christiane D. & Long Time Darlings feat. Yah Lioness Borne This 21+ event kicks off at 10pm and tickets are $8. The event is sponsored by Iron City Beer, who will be on hand with specials and promotions.
