Summer Saturdays at the Fort


Fort Pitt Museum 412-281-9284 Fort Pitt Museum will host three Summer Saturdays at the Fort programs that will feature re-enactors and demonstrations on select Saturdays through August: June 9 – Kids at the Fort will focus on the role of children at Fort Pitt and will include several activities and games that a child living in 18th century Pittsburgh might play. July 14 – Revolution at the Fort will focus on Pittsburgh’s involvement in the American Revolution. Visitors can help raise a liberty pole in Point State Park, drill with the local militia, and help design a historic flag. August 11 – Food at the Fort examines how the occupants of Fort Pitt ate using natural resources in the 18th century and will feature special demonstrations related to hunting, fishing, and gardening at Fort Pitt.
