This year is the 104 year for Lawrenceville's Memorial Day Parade. The 2012 Parade starts at 10am from 40th and Butler Streets and marches along Butler Street into Allegheny Cemetery. Be there to see the antique cars, military vehicles, clowns and marching bands.
There is a commemmoration ceremony is St. Mary's Cemetery at 9am. The ceremony includes a gun salute, wreath laying and tribute to veterans.
The ceremony in Allegheny Cemetery takes place immediately following the parade around 10:45 and includes speakers, patriotic hymns, a military fly-over and various tributes. It is a moving ceremony in a beautiful setting.
