On Wednesday, May 2 at 6:30 p.m. - Wine Festival Eve - we are pleased to welcome back Lynn Apple who will host a very special Chateau St. Jean Wine Dinner. In 1999, Chateau St. Jean was the first Sonoma Winery to achieve the Winery of the Year distinction from Wine Spectator Magazine. You will enjoy the current offerings of Fume Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir - before tasting five vintages of Cinq Cepages Cabernet Sauvignon! The current '08 vintage has been rated "94" points by Wine Advocate, the 2000 vintage "90" points by Wine Spectator, the 1999 vintage - #2 Wine of the Year by Wine Spectator scored "95" points, the 1997 was rated "96" and the 1995 was rated "93"! It is not often that you can taste and compare five different vintages of a wine at a Wine Dinner. And, it is always interesting to see how these older California vintages have changed over time!
