The 2012 Carnegie Mellon International Film Festival: Faces of Others will showcase 2011 Romanian and Hungarian film, Best Intentions, on Saturday, April 14, at 2:00pm at Harris Theater! The screening event features a photo slideshow of images taken by families and children at the Ronald McDonald House at Children’s Hospital and a revealing discussion moderated by Andreea Deciu Ritivoi, Professor of English at Carnegie Mellon University. Faces of Others will also present 2011 Polish film, Essential Killing, on Saturday, April 14, at 7:00pm at McConomy Auditorium, CMU’s University Center! The screening event will also feature special guest Jessie Linn Ryan, a former Army E-4 in Iraq! This festival event is presented in conjunction with the “Through Polish Eyes” Film Festival. It is also sponsored by the University of Pittsburgh’s Russian and East European Studies Center, Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures, and Film Studies Program.
