StoryCorps Mobile Tour will be in residence in Pittsburgh PA from October 14 through November 11, 2016. The month-long residency is a collaborative project with radio station 90.5 WESA, Pittsburgh's NPR News Station. The StoryCorps mobile recording booth - a converted Airstream trailer- will be parked outside of the Senator John Heinz History Center.
StoryCorps’ mission is to preserve and share humanity’s stories in order to build connections between people and create a more just and compassionate world.Since its founding in 2003, StoryCorps has collected and archived more than 60,000 interviews from more than 100,000 participants from across the country who visit one of our recording sites. It is one of the largest oral history projects of its kind. Interviews recorded are added to the StoryCorps Archive, housed at the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress.
