Row House Cinema is celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the release of the science-fiction comedy Idiocracy, and just in time for the upcoming presidential election. The single-screen theater will feature special showings of the film directed by Mike Judge, the man behind the other well-known cult classic Office Space. Idiocracy, starring Maya Rudolph, Luke Wilson, Terry Crewes, and Dax Shepherd, depicts a dystopian future where America is run by a former pro-wrestler (Crewes), and the human population is morbidly stupid. Consequentially, when “Average Joe” Bauers (Wilson) joins the society due to a time travel experiment he is quickly deemed the most intelligent person alive. Row House will be celebrating the film’s satirical genius for an all-day screening on Monday, November 7th, and a one-time “election” screening on Tuesday, November 8th at 10pm. The election screening will provide a fun, festive atmosphere for anyone looking for a break from election coverage after they cast their vote. Row House will have election updates available throughout the evening, and will announce the final results of the elections should they occur during the screening.
