Honoring Those Who Served: Veterans’ Care and Assistance is the last of a free four-part series titled “Approaching the Unapproachable: Finding Peace in Preparedness”. Scott Beinhauer, director of operations for Beinhauer Family Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, and Ron Hestdalen, director of National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, will co-present. Family Hospice has partnered with Home Instead Senior Care to address a series of important end-of-life issues, as we often are more reactive than proactive when it comes to making these uncomfortable yet necessary decisions. Light refreshments will be served. Eric Horwith, Family Hospice regional director of growth and business development, explains why this free lecture series is being offered for the public to attend: “This was developed because of suggestions from our direct care staff who, through their daily interactions with patients and families, felt that such topics are essential in helping to support each and every individual’s end-of-life journey. Our hope is that by educating the community on these important life decisions, we can assure that people facing end of life can have peace of mind that their personal wishes and desires have been honored.”
