We've come to visit so we can invite you to come see us in Pittsburgh! It's only a three-hour drive…we know because we just drove in on I-70 and it was a super-easy drive, straight from our neighborhood to yours!
We've brought plenty of good things to share with you, all in the spirit of everyone's favorite neighbor, Mister Rogers, who made Pittsburgh his home and filmed his TV series, Mister Rogers Neighborhood, at our local public broadcasting station, WQED. Now Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood is the big TV sensation with young children and, if yours are anything like ours, they're head over heels for this cute little guy.
Pittsburgh has lots of fun attractions that can get your kids excited about Daniel and his friends, and it's all just a hop, skip and a jump from Columbus! Here are just a few:
All this plus affordable places to stay, great food and lots of other indoor and outdoor activities for you and your family to enjoy. Unforgettable memories are just around the corner in Pittsburgh, what we affectionately call Kidsburgh!
Stop by and see us while we're here in Columbus this week. We'll be all over town handing out tickets to Pittsburgh attractions along with prizes and surprises for kids of all ages. Come by and say, "Hello Neighbor!" at the following locations:
Our final night of fun is this Saturday, June 25, at Huntington Park when the Columbus Clippers host Kidsburgh t-shirt night. The first 1,500 youths in the ballpark receive a free "Pittsburgh Is Kidsburgh" t-shirt, compliments of yours truly, VisitPITTSBURGH. Game time is 7:15 pm.
So follow our whereabouts all week long at #HelloNeighbor.
We want to get to know you, our Columbus friends, and ask you in person, "Won't You Be My Neighbor?"
