Salsa Fridays

Tough Art

An exhibition of four, original, interactive artworks that are “tough” enough to withstand kid handling. Play with a giant kaleidoscope, activate a sculpture with your voice and more! This exhibit is supported by a grant from the Federal Institute of Museum and Library Sciences.

Feminist And... Opening Reception

Organized by Guest Curator Hilary Robinson, Ph.D., this exhibition explores feminism in relation to wide-ranging views on societal issues as expressed by women artists. Factory Direct: Pittsburgh showcases the artwork of 14 established contemporary artists invited to conduct artist residencies in Pittsburgh-based factories. Jersey Boys

JERSEY BOYS is the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. Jersey Boys is the winner of: the 2006 Best Musical Tony Award, the 2006 Grammy Award Best Musical Show Album, the 2009 Olivier Award for Best New Musical and the 2010 Helpmann Award for Best Musical (Australia). Tickets begin at $29 and will go on sale to the general public on Monday, May 7th, 2012. GUITAR: The Instrument That Rocked The World

This exhibit features a showcase of more than 60 guitars, ranging from the rare to wildly popular. It includes interactives about the science of sound as well as photography, performance videos, audio, touch screens and the World’s Largest Playable Guitar, certified by Guinness World Records. Plus, live performances by musicians of local, regional, and national note will be scheduled throughout the run of the exhibit.
