Arrive at a secret destination, make contact with your Agent, and embark on a private rite of passage where the choices you make will determine your destiny. STRATA is an original Bricolage production, created in collaboration with lead artist Riley Harmon and Clear Story, and in partnership with the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust.
Follow the Yellow Brick Road to the first-ever educational exhibit based on the beloved movie classic. Come over the rainbow with Dorothy and Toto on an exploration of the colorful Land of Oz. Journey from the sepia-toned Gale Farm to the vibrant Emerald City and experience the adventures of Dorothy and her friends.
Factory Direct: Pittsburgh showcases the artwork of 14 established contemporary artists invited to conduct artist residencies in Pittsburgh-based factories. Factory Direct artists will work closely with the management teams and factory workers within their host facilities to plan and execute a new work of art based on the factory’s history, technologies, materials, and/or processes.
This exhibit features a showcase of more than 60 guitars, ranging from the rare to wildly popular. It includes interactives about the science of sound as well as photography, performance videos, audio, touch screens and the World’s Largest Playable Guitar, certified by Guinness World Records. Plus, live performances by musicians of local, regional, and national note will be scheduled throughout the run of the exhibit.
