This is the 30th Anniversary of Frank Henenlotter’s cult horror film classic, Basket Case. The Carrie Furnaces, a National Historic Landmark, were the heart and soul of U.S. Steel's Homestead Works. This tour includes the whole steel-making process, from the Ore Yards where raw materials were stored to the Cast House where red hot molten metal spewed from the furnace.
