Each year, the contest encourages Pittsburgh-area high school and college students to explore their personal experiences with race and discrimination through poetry and prose. SCC’s Bridge Series, a biennial exhibition, offers a unique opportunity for audiences to become acquainted with work of three different mid-career artists through the presentation of three solo shows. Bridge 12 showcases the work of metal worker and jewelry maker Melissa Cameron, ceramic artist Kevin Snipes, and textile artist Betty Vera.
