Join us Saturday, May 5, 2012 for the 3rd Annual Kentucky Derby Nite @ the Races to benefit the Baden Memorial Library. The Kentucky Derby gates open @ 5 p.m. Bettting tables open 5 p.m.-6 p.m. Derby post time @ 6:15. Traditional Night at the Races begins @ 7 p.m. with the buffet dinner from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Enjoy a tasty BBQ dinner!

A HEALTHY MOVEment is an event put on by local high school students to raise awareness for Air Quality and Healthy Lifestyle Choices. A 3-mile walking scavenger hunt aimed at teaching people about exercise and healthy air in our region. Complete the scavenger hunt and enter to win raffle prizes! Children and families welcome!

Free Comic Book Day at the Toonseum Free Comic Book Day is a national event that takes place once a year in the month of May. Participating shops set up for this event and your local Toonseum is getting ready. Toonseum is a museum of cartoon and comic art located at 945 Liberty Ave in downtown Pittsburgh.

The sixteenth installment in the Gestures series, Gestures: Intimate Friction, will bring together artists, architects, and activists to work together in the Mattress Factory’s annex gallery, 1414 Monterey. The upcoming exhibition will be guest-curated by Mary-Lou Arscott, of Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Architecture.
