An exhibition of four, original, interactive artworks that are “tough” enough to withstand kid handling. Play with a giant kaleidoscope, activate a sculpture with your voice and more! This exhibit is supported by a grant from the Federal Institute of Museum and Library Sciences.

The Carrie Furnaces, a National Historic Landmark, were the heart and soul of U.S. Steel's Homestead Works. The Carrie Furnaces Hard Hat Tour includes the whole steel-making process, from the Ore Yard where raw materials were stored, to the Cast House, where red hot molten metal spewed from the furnace.
